Project Activities


November 2016

AggieTravel moved into wave 2 of the scheduled release on November 7th! The office of the Chancellor and Provost, the School of Law, Athletics and UCD Extension began using AggieTravel.

If you are interested in familiarizing yourself with AggieTravel through our test site, just click on the big blue button on the left side of the page!

Check the System Activation Schedule for your department's activation date. And as always, email the Travel Help Desk with any questions.

October 2016

As we entered October, the division of Finance and Resource Management began using AggieTravel. The transition has been great and we are looking forward to releasing the next wave of users onto the system in early November.

September 2016

By the end of September, our first departments will begin working in the AggieTravel expense reporting system! Check the System Activation Schedule for your department's activation date.

August 2016

The AggieTravel test system is no longer available as we transition to the full production site. Check the System Activation Schedule to see when your division goes live!

July 2016

Super User training starts this month! Super Users will gain an advanced knowledge of the system, learn the key differences between the old and the new software, and will attain the skills to be a valuable AggieTravel resource to their departments. As the month comes to a close, campus divisions will begin training on AggieTravel. Keep an eye out for your department's training dates!

June 2016

This month, we launched User Acceptance Testing! UAT is an important step in verifying the system's performance. A group of over 140 individuals from across the campus and medical center are devoting time to UAT.  Also this month, the deployment schedule is being finalized and initial meetings with division contacts are being conducted to ensure a smooth transition from MyTravel to AggieTravel.

May 2016

This month will be much like the last. We will begin user acceptance testing soon as we are still looking for volunteers. It's not too late to sign up!

April 2016

System configurations and Quality Assurance (QA) testing continue through the month of April. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) will also begin this month. Look for information about how to be involved in the UAT in your email. March 2016

AggieTravel was introduced to the campus ADMAN group this month. System configuration continues behind the scenes as the Validation Testing Group continues the initial round of testing. Deployment plans are beginning. And a modified user interface was implemented to provide a more user friendly experience. 

February 2016

The Validation Testing Group started the month with a kick-off meeting. The AggieTravel system was reviewed and the testers were sent on their way to begin validation testing. This phase of system testing will continue through this month.

January 2016

The Concur implementation team returned to Davis for the Planning Phase Gate Review and established the schedule baseline.

December 2015

The AggieTravel Project team hosted the Concur implementation team for an initial site visit and official project kick-off.

November 2015

Among further technical meetings, the Project Team modified expense types and audit rules to better suit the needs of UC Davis travelers.

October 2015

Project teams conducted meetings to discuss the project's technical requirements.

September 2015

Contracting Services worked closely with Concur Technologies to secure a purchase contract for the expense reporting system branded as, AggieTravel.

May 2015

The Travel & Entertainment Systems Focus Group met to review and provide feedback on expense reporting systems available to UC Davis.

Through this meeting, the group's feedback was almost unanimously in favor of the AggieTravel system.
