Foreign Travel

Foreign travel is travel to a destination outside of the United States or its possessions. Travelers are encouraged to become familiar with the destination country's entry requirements, travel advisories, and other pertinent information, available here. In addition, travelers leaving California must complete the Travel Insurance Form, unless their travel arrangements have been made through AggieTravel, then the insurance process is automated.

When requesting reimbursement for lodging or meal expenses incurred for a foreign trip, you may elect to use either the per diem allowance for the location or be reimbursed for the actual expenses incurred.

Details on reimbursement rates and conditions are in Appendix B of Business and Finance Bulletin G-28.

Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS)

OCONUS travel refers to travel outside of the continental United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. Territories.
