Welcome to your information center for the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) project.

What is EDMS?

The Accounting and Financial Services EDMS, or Electronic Document Management System, is comprised of hardware and software which allows for the capture, storage, and retrieval of all forms of paper and electronic documents. Basic functions include scanning paper records, indexing electronic documents, and retrieval and annotation of images. The system is also capable of many advanced features, such as Optical Character Recognition, batch scanning, automated file imports, and retrieval integration options with existing web-based application.

This enterprise-wide solution was initially implemented over a four-year period for specific departments that provided the seed investment. The project is now in its fifth year and has over fifteen partners. With over 11,000,000 pages scanned, it has proven to be a robust and efficient tool for many campus departments.

Now that the infrastructure is in place, our EDMS solution is available to the campus at large through an affordable recharge rate. Please contact the EDMS Help Desk for more information.
