Our Mission

The mission of Mail Services is to centralize mail services and minimize duplication of resources; to efficiently receive, process, dispatch and deliver U.S. Postal Service and intercampus mail throughout the campus and UC Davis Medical Center.

What We Do

Mail Services processes all UCD and UCD Health Services (UCDHS) mail received from the US Postal Service as well as all pieces routed through Campus Mail.

We pick up mail from your department at the same time your deliveries are made. Mail may also be dropped at one of our mail processing locations. Although mail is picked up at the same time each day, you may request a special messenger for urgent mail that cannot wait for regular delivery. When possible, your mail will be picked up and delivered immediately. Requests submitted by 3pm can be accommodated the same day.

Mail tubs are provided for each department for outgoing mail. These tubs should be used for mail delivery only and should not be used for storage, filing or stockpiled for future use. Additional mail tubs, trays or bags can be requested for your department to prepare and contain mailings.

Mail Services provides additional services, including Bulk Mail and Ship-Out programs.

AggieShip is an online shipping portal that replaces the current FedEx shipping tool. AggieShip enables you to compare contracted express carrier rates (FedEx Express, FedEx Ground, UPS, etc.) and initiate shipments via your desktop.  The tool  will select the most affordable cost based on your delivery parameters and provide pricing and shipment tracking. You simply establish a profile, enter the recipient’s name, address, delivery date…and click the ship button! No invoice processing and no fuss.

PO Email Fraud Alert

We want to alert you to an active email scam involving purchase orders and email requests for product quotes that purport to originate from UC Davis, but are in fact fraudulent. While the university cannot prevent this illegal activity, we are actively working with law enforcement to investigate these fraudulent email contacts. To verify authenticity of an order, please contact Contracting Services at (530) 752-0370.
